Hayward, CA - The Nadia Lockyer for Supervisor campaign announced today that the Building and Construction Trades Council of Alameda County has endorsed Nadia Lockyer in her bid for the District 2 seat on the Alameda County Board of Supervisors.

"I am proud to announce that Nadia Lockyer has earned the endorsement of the Building Trades Council," said Andreas Cluver, Secretary-Treasurer of the Building and Construction Trades Council of Alameda County. "During these difficult economic times, we need the experienced leadership that Nadia will bring to the Alameda County Board of Supervisors. The hardworking families of Alameda County will have an advocate on the Board when she will be elected in June," Cluver added.

"I am honored to have the support of the Building and Construction Trades Council of Alameda County," said Nadia Lockyer. "I will work tirelessly to strengthen working families of Alameda County when I am elected to represent the people of District 2," Lockyer added.

Lockyer is a county manager who currently serves as the Executive Director of the Alameda County Family Justice Center, a one-stop service delivery center comprised of multiple public, non-profit, and government agencies with the single mission of providing easily accessible and coordinated services to victims of domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse, and sexual assault and exploitation. Prior to her current position as Executive Director of the ACFJC, Nadia practiced law representing adult victims of childhood sexual and physical abuse.
